The cycle of "7 sins" is the provocative project by the Moscow artist Roman Reznitsky, combining 7 paintings in accordance with the Christian tradition: pride, Wrath, lust, Wrath, gluttony, greed and envy
One glance is enough to understand that this series has little to do with the traditional depiction of the seven deadly sins in the art, especially in Renaissance and Baroque paintings.
Bright authorial style and the itself interpretation of the plot may seem to the everyman an effective demonstration of human vices, rather than a moral warning against forbidden passions. Looking at the pictures you want to succumb to temptation, rather than being given austerity
The artist himself insists that he does not propagandize sinfulness, but tries to understand what it means the concept of "seven deadly sins" for modern man, whether he is afraid of punishment, whether his thoughts and actions are controlled in accordance with the scriptures. He does not exclude that some manifestations of the human essence have passed from the category of sins into the category of revered and cult.
Work on the project took the artist more than a year
